State tobacco-related legislative bills that have been acted on by a state legislative committee or state legislature are listed below alphabetically by state:
Maine: LR2261, which proposes to restore funding to the state’s tobacco prevention and control program, was accepted by the Legislative Council on November 19, 2021.
New Jersey: Senate Bill 4114 (same as Assembly Bill 6020), which requires tobacco products retailers (excludes cigar shops) to carry and offer for sale at least one nicotine replacement therapy, drug, device, or combination product that has been approved by the FDA for tobacco cessation use, is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Committee on Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens on December 6, 2021.
