State tobacco-related legislative bills that have been acted on by a state legislative committee or state legislature are listed below alphabetically by state:

Michigan: House Bill 4427, which increases the penalties for tobacco possession by a minor, passed the House and moved to the Senate on December 9, 2021.

New Jersey: Senate Bill 4114 (same as Assembly Bill 6020), which requires tobacco products retailers (excludes cigar shops) to carry and offer for sale at least one nicotine replacement therapy, drug, device or combination product that has been approved by the FDA for tobacco cessation use, reported favorably from the Senate Committee on Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens on December 6, 2021. Assembly Bill 6020 reported favorably from the Assembly Health Committee on December 6, 2021.
