Tobacco-related legislative bills that have been acted on by Congress are listed below:

House Bill 2339 has advanced to the full House Energy and Commerce Committee after being reported favorably in a hearing in the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee on November 13, 2019. This bill would do the following: (1) increase the legal purchase age for tobacco and vapor products from 18 to 21 years of age; (2) prohibit the sale of all flavored tobacco products and vapor products, including menthol cigarettes (effective 1 year after date of enactment); (3) prohibit remote on-line retail sales of tobacco products and vapor products; and (4) prohibit the marketing of vapor products to anyone under 21 years of age.
