The following bills were recently introduced in state legislatures:

Louisiana: House Bill 981, requiring certain tobacco wholesalers to collect advance sales tax payments upon the sale of tobacco products to retail dealers.

New York: Assembly Bill 9731 prohibits the distribution of electronic cigarettes without charge and the distribution of coupons unless distributed through newspapers, magazines and other types of publications.
